Our statistics speak for themselves: thanks to our unique integration with the Coal Authority, more than 95% of coal mining reports are returned to you within one hour of ordering. This powerful integration uses the Coal Authority’s own mapping layers, and also enables us to provide you with property-specific search alerts based on the property’s precise coordinates. This feature saves you time and money by not having to refer to other third party websites or procure unnecessary reports.

Our customers tell us our standard search turnaround times are exceptional. In the last year, more than 99% of Property Enquiry Certificates, Legal Reports and Remortgage Searches were returned on the same or next day. Our new platform has been designed by conveyancers for conveyancers. Some of the new features we’ve added, based on your feedback, allow you to:

  • Choose how your reports are delivered : Everyone has a personal preference for how they like to work, which is why we created ‘Search Return Distribution’ so you can choose whether your reports are returned one-by-one as they are completed, or delivered in one email once they are all ready. Searches for individual cases can also be distributed to multiple email addresses so that holiday and other cover may be provided seamlessly.
  • Print a professional summary whenever you need to : We’ve improved the look and feel of our printed forms, so you can print off professional summaries and add them to your clients’ files at any stage of your order.
  • Prepare drafts when you need to : You can draft each order, print and save a copy of details, and talk with the other solicitor, before making amendments and sending the order over to us.

Managing Director

Michael runs tmgroup's Scottish brand; Property Searches Scotland. He joined the business in mid-2012 and, together with a skilled team of experienced property search agents, has delivered a successful business with a market share exceeding 20%. In his spare time, Michael enjoys hillwalking and running and is a regular marathon runner, most recently in Valencia where his claims of the hilly route affecting his time are being questioned.

Debi joined Property Searches Scotland in 2014 having had a successful career in banking. She has used her extensive relationship management and business development skills to expand Property Searches Scotland’s customer base across Scotland. In her free time, she loves to travel and experience the various culinary delights of the countries she visits!

Mark is a Business Development Manager. His role involves managing the acquisition of new business and supporting existing accounts. In his spare time, Mark enjoys listening to music, walking and socialising with friends.

Jody is Property Searches Scotland’s Sales Support and Internal Accounts Executive. Her role involves providing comprehensive support to the Sales Team, managing a portfolio of conveyancing customers (with the aid of 3 years title searching experience), and co-ordinating company events. Away from work, Jody enjoys spending time with her children and husband making memories. She is also a competitive badminton player for Glasgow and North Strathclyde Badminton Group.

Operations Manager

James is Property Searches Scotland’s Operations Team Leader. His role involves overseeing the day-to-day work requirements within Property Searches Scotland. Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his family and home zoo.

Senior Title Searcher and Training Supervisor

Steven is a Senior Title Searcher and Training Supervisor. Day-to-day he produces Legal Reports for clients, deals with complex legal enquiries, and is involved in the training and guidance of other team members. Outside of work, Steven enjoys going to the gym and general keep fit activities, Oriental cooking, binge-watching Netflix and being a lifelong follower of boxing (Marquess of Queensberry stuff, not rolling about in a cage!).

Stewart is a PEC Production Supervisor at Property Searches Scotland. This involves the compiling of information for the production of Property Enquiry Certificates. In his spare time, Stewart spends time with his family, plays poker, football and squash, and enjoys the odd gig or few.

Senior Title Searcher

Stuart is one of Property Searches Scotland’s Titles Team Leaders. He provides guidance and support to colleagues and clients in relation to Legal Reports, Plans Reports, and other products required in Scottish property transactions. He also undertakes complex ownership investigations to identify the legal owners of properties or areas of land in Scotland. Stuart has recently started running and aims to complete his first 10k run this year. When he is not running, he likes listening to music and going to the cinema.
